The wedding is four months away, and Ethan has promised to train Sam to handle a planned honeymoon activity. He’s calculated the math to figure out her goals each week. When she reaches the weekly target she gets a massage and lots of fun orgasms. But if she doesn’t, it’s the stainless steel cane.

All this along with navigating her clients’ drama, planning a wedding, dealing with her mother while planning the wedding, and having lots and lots of wild and kinky sex.

And we haven’t even mentioned the bachelorette party.

Warning: This title contains graphic language, consensual BDSM some may find objectionable, anal sex, bondage, and the use of toys including crops, clips, clamps, plugs, and gags.

Q) What inspired you to write this story?
Safeword: Matte was intended to be a short story, for an anthology with a maximum of 12,000 words. It quickly grew to over 30,000 words, and was released as a short novel. I’ve wanted to return to the couple for some time, and thought I could finish their story with one more book. It turns out, it will take three more books to tell their story.

As for the inspiration, I always write strong female characters, but I wanted Sam to be even stronger than is normal for me. She needed a super-alpha male, and Ethan just kind of formed in my head.

Q) How long did it take you to write?
I’ve wrangled the follow-up books for well over a year. All three will release within around five months, which will probably make people think I wrote them quickly, which is not at all the case.

Q) What is your favorite thing about writing?
I have control! Seriously, I get to decide what happens. Well, unless the characters argue with me.

Q) What is your least favorite thing about writing?
Going to my day job when I desperately want to get the stuff in my head out and into the computer.

Q) If you could be any famous person for one day, who would you be and why?
I never know how to answer this question. I’m 47 years old, and I love my own life. I’m married to my soul mate, and have two incredible children (one in elementary, one in middle school). I don’t want to be anyone else.

Q) What is the oldest thing in your fridge and how old is it?
Oh my. I have no idea. Probably a condiment. Without looking my first guess would be the mustard, because we only use a squirt of it in egg salad, no one in the family uses it for anything else, and I’m not sure it ever goes bad.

Q) What can readers expect from you in the future?
I have a paranormal series rattling around in my head, and I’m hoping to finally start it once I put Happily Ever After to bed.
