The situation takes an unexpected turn when her grandfather's condition improves slightly and to her shock, he goes ahead and arranges a wedding ceremony at his hospital bedside before he passes on. Now, all Emma has to do is convince unsuspecting, commitment-phobic Evan to tie the knot with her in seven days. Can love blossom in the most unlikely situation?

Q) What inspired you to write this story?
First of all, thanks so much for having me as a guest on your blog. What inspired me to write An Unexpected Bride was witnessing a beautiful wedding at the hospital where I used to work. A patient was too ill to attend his daughter’s wedding so she bought the ceremony to the hospital so that he could be a part of the celebration. I thought it was so touching and a great show of the power of love. My novel, however, is about another patient wishing it was their grandchild getting married and the pressure for that grandchild to make their dying grandfather happy. Of course, the characters are figments of my imagination.

Q) How long does it take you to write a novel?
It varies. On average it takes less than three months when I’m working on it full time and that includes planning, plotting, research, writing and editing. Then my editor goes through it.

Q) What is your favorite thing about writing?
I love creating wonderful worlds with intriguing characters and romantic storylines.

Q) What is your least favorite thing about writing?
Hmm…sometimes not having enough time in the day.

Q) If you could be any famous person for one day, who would you be and why?
Hmm…that’s a tough question.

Q) What can readers expect from you in the future?
I’m working on more intriguing stories for the Bride Series in addition to other novels.
